Blue is my competition name.
My full registered name is Shobbrook Kasper and I am a Shetland pony.
All my friends call me Kasper.
I was born on 25th May 1995 so I am now 8 years old.
At just 42” high I am the friendliest pony ever. I like people both big and small. If I have a novice rider on me I am very careful to look after them, but when I have an experienced person on me I like to take them for a good gallop along the bridleways. Before I was taught how to pull a carriage by Jenny and the team I didn’t do very much. So they had to help me learn about lots of things like heavy lorries, loud noises, sudden movements and even how to get into their horsebox. My friend Ryan says he would like to ride me at The Shetland Pony Grand Nationals so we are both learning to work together and to jump. It’s different from Scurry driving but I like it just as much.
My coat is dapple but it is becoming whiter every season. My stockings are still black and my mane and tail are still grey but a shade lighter than my friend Mystery.
Lots of people ride me nowadays along our bridleways, but I also get driven out on our local roads. I have to look after Mystery because the big lorries sometimes worry him but he is getting bolder.
I enjoy playing with toys, like buckets, cones, bowls and give me a broom and I will sweep the yard for you!!!
I like doing the Scurry racing and look forward to the possibility of also doing the Shetland Pony Grand National because we go all over the country and meet new people.
